We have an exciting opportunity available for a Marketing and Communications Manager for our growing team of professionals.

The Role
The Marketing and Communications Manager develops and implements analytics‐driven marketing and membership retention strategies for Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. This person is responsible for the execution of marketing campaigns and programs that strategically position and promote products and services of Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. to current and prospective clients. The Manager collaborates with all business units to develop the strategic direction of marketing initiatives in support of Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. corporate goals. These strategies serve to reinforce the value of Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. participation in ways that significantly strengthen Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. membership retention and assist with member recruitment, to ensure the overall Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. participation experience is of the highest quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Key areas of responsibility include enhancing and managing the Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. message and brand; directing marketing efforts; helping to build a new digital presence; enhancing media relations efforts; and strengthening membership participation through marketing and communications. Responsible for developing timelines and budgets for updates/enhancements to current technology or marketing materials.

• Conceptualizes and develops ideas for differentiated messaging and communication channels for specific projects while consistently delivering Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc.’s value proposition.

• Evaluates current marketing programs for effectiveness. Revises or creates sophisticated, professional marketing materials for the Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. organization. Responsible for designing brochures/flyers that best highlight the approved content and company logos. Continually seeks to improve/refresh the layout to maintain a modern look for all materials.

• Prepares, proofreads, and edits documents and materials including member correspondence, reports, and memos, as directed.

• Performs data analytics to assist with marketing of various projects.

• Ensures content on the Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc. website is current while creating contemporary visual solutions that meet client and user needs; assists with development of the digital/social media strategy for the organization; and brings innovative, multimedia ideas to the Executive Director.

• Collaborates with Executive Director on all activities associated with quarterly Board of Directors’ meetings:
 Develop timeframes and deadlines for creation of Board materials
 Draft and finalize meeting notices and agendas
 Draft PowerPoint presentations
 Gather and assemble hard copy materials into binders
 Create electronic version of board materials
 Attend Board meetings

• Utilizes CRM (contact relationship management) database and forwards all revisions/additions/deletions to contact and distribution group records on a timely basis to the Information/Data Coordinator.

• Works both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team, across internal departments and with external organizations.

• Assumes responsibility for other duties and special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills and proficiency with graphics design programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Microsoft Publisher or similar; experience working with Adobe Acrobat Pro or equivalent is preferred. Deep experience with social media platforms and campaigns required. Strong copywriting, message generation, and verbal communications skills required. Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills also required. Strong skills with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential. The ability to assist with website design and maintenance is required. Knowledge of healthcare nomenclature is preferred, but not required.

Individual must have the ability to interact with internal and external contacts at all levels in a professional, pleasant and personable manner. The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented self- starter that has the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Communications or similar field is preferred. 3 years+ previous work experience in marketing, communications, or with trade associations; experience in the healthcare industry a plus.

Physical setting:
• Hybrid work environment in Clifton Park office (3 days minimum in office available after 90 days of employment with discretion of supervisor).

Schedule: Monday – Friday with standard 37.5-hour work week

Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 Annually (exempt position)
