Caring Gene Career Pathways Training (CPT) Update
We’re excited to share a major milestone with you
Caring Gene® Career Pathways Training (CPT) has officially reached over 1,300 students supported across the regions we serve. This milestone is more than a number, it’s a sign of the momentum we’ve built together to strengthen New York State’s healthcare workforce.
Thanks to our growing network of more than 54 educational partners and close to 32 committed employers, this program is creating real pathways to meaningful and sustainable careers in healthcare, behavioral health and social care.
Meet a Caring Gene® Team Member
Kayla Quinn
As a Population Health Coordinator for Fort Drum Regional Health Planning Organization (FDRHPO) and a Case Specialist for the CPT Program, Kayla Quinn plays a key role in guiding participants through every step of their career journey. Her dedication ensures that residents of Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties receive the personalized support, financial resources, and training connections they need to succeed in high-demand healthcare roles. FDRHPO is proud to collaborate with Caring Gene® to expand access to meaningful healthcare careers and improve the health and well-being of our communities.
Caring Gene® on the Road
You’ll spot members of the Caring Gene® team out and about this summer promoting the program. Executive Director, Tosha Burnie-Grimmer, Case Manager, Alyse Aquino, and Marketing & Communication Specialist, Jillian Casey, M.Ed. were in Syracuse at the inaugural NY Workforce Connect Conference. Stakeholders from a variety of industries gathered to discuss workforce development and how we can collaborate to address challenges across the state.
