IHA/UISS Regional Aggregation Energy Initiative Update – Timeline Extended
UISS and Zenith Energy have extended the regional energy initiative – an aggregated group whose goal is to leverage the purchasing power of their energy spend. Members can still participate with no risk and no cost. Participating members’ energy usage will be combined and brought to market in a price bidding competition with the goal of driving down pricing for all. Pricing will be based upon each Member’s unique start dates and load shape but with the understanding that the commodity suppliers must bid their best prices to win participation from the group.
As noted above, the energy aggregation initiative timeline has been extended, and there is still an opportunity for members to participate. Please click here for the updated timeline.
As a reminder, members can participate with no risk and no cost. Participating healthcare energy buyers can leverage their combined size in the market by acting together. This approach will drive down supplier margins and get pricing closer to wholesale. Each Member would receive a report of the outcomes specific to their organization and would then decide on the course of action (contract or decline).

UISS Announces New Contract with Ntracts
After a lengthy evaluation process involving IHA member insight, UISS has partnered with Ntracts, a contract lifecycle management software-as-a-service application exclusively focused on healthcare that enables users to originate, search for and report on contracts.
This member-driven initiative helps support the organizational management of contracts and allows our members to:
- Mitigate Risk of Non-Compliance – Ntracts’ CLM platform creates a single source of truth for all contracts and streamlines workflows. Healthcare organizations can easily monitor compliance with provider, vendor and payer contracts, reducing the risk of an inspection by the OIG, DNV, Joint Commission and other accreditation agencies.
- Gain Efficiency – Ntracts users have measured an average of 25% improvements in efficiency when utilizing Ntracts’ CLM workflows to seamlessly handle their contracts’ lifecycle from initial request and document generation, to approval, signature, subsequent reviews, amendments, and termination.
- Increase Visibility – Give financial teams immediate access to real-time information. Enabling data-driven, informed decisions.
- Reduce Costs – According to experts, companies lose an average of 9% annual revenue due to contract mismanagement. Ntracts’ built-in notifications and advanced reporting add to your bottom line by avoiding unintended auto-renewals, avoiding or reducing contract overpayments, and eliminating payments on expired contracts.
- 100% Implementation Success – Efficient implementation process completed by healthcare experts with minimal client resources.
- Partnership – Ntracts becomes a partner of the healthcare organization’s contract and compliance programs and part of their users’ day-to-day.

The start of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season is just over a week away, and federal forecasters Thursday predicted an “extraordinary” season with as many as 25 named storms possible.
This is the most storms the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has ever predicted in a preseason outlook. “All the ingredients are in place for an active season,” said National Weather Service director Ken Graham at a news conference in Washington, D.C.
