The Program
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Director of Educational Support Services for our growing team of professionals.
The Role
The Director of Educational Support Services will recruit, enroll, and support post-secondary students seeking healthcare certification for Caring Gene® Healthcare Career Pathways, Inc (CG), an affiliate of IHA, in upstate New York. This person will collaborate with educational institutions, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations to identify students seeking healthcare credentials. The Director of Educational Support Services will assist in hiring and supervising regional Educational Case Specialists who will be working remotely. The Director of Educational Support Services will develop strategies to support student academic success, including exam preparation for licensure. The Director of Educational Support Services will establish systems for job placement for students who have completed their educational program. The Director of Educational Support Services will participate in data collection and analysis of recruitment, retention, and job placement of these students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist CG leadership staff to create strategies for recruitment of students seeking educational opportunities for employment in healthcare.
• Work closely with educational institutions, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations such as local Workforce Boards, to identify, recruit, and enroll students in the CG program.
• Develop and manage systems for student recruitment, acceptance, successful completion, and job placement in healthcare settings.
• Hire, train, and supervise regional Educational Case Specialists to directly support adult students seeking healthcare credentials from recruitment, throughout the academic program, licensure examinations, and job placement.
• Participate in data collection and analysis of CG’s program goals.
• Support regional Educational Case Specialists to help students navigate challenges during their participation in CG scholarship program.
• Organize events (virtual and/or in-person) for students, regional Educational Case Specialists, and others to create community, share program updates, showcase exceptional case studies/examples, or celebrations like individual or cohort graduations.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team, across internal departments and with external organizations.
• Assume responsibility for other duties and special projects as needed.
• Ability to travel as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, psychology, human services or a related field from an accredited university or college; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Case management experience preferred.
• Experience working with post-secondary students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds.
• Teaching and/or Guidance Counselor experience a plus.
• Management experience for supervision of staff and project development.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience using CRM system (e.g. Sales Force, HubSpot).
• Must be flexible and willing to assume new tasks and special projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Physical setting:
• Hybrid work environment in Clifton Park office (3 days minimum in office available after 90 days of employment with discretion of supervisor).
Schedule: Monday – Friday with standard 37.5-hour work week
Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000 Annually (exempt position)
